Terms & Conditions
1. A showreel refers to a professionally produced video comprising one or more scenes, created for acting showcase purposes.
2. ASB Showreels maintains 100% and exclusive copyright ownership over all showreels produced. This includes the content, scripts, and final edited videos. Clients are granted a license for limited, personal use only, including casting submissions and personal social media.
3. Scripts created for showreels remain the intellectual property of ASB Showreels and cannot be sold, reproduced, or repurposed without explicit written permission from ASB.
4. Raw (unedited) footage will not be provided to clients. All deliverables will be completed as a fully edited showreels.
5. Showreel scenes may only be used for:
o Personal showreel purposes.
o Casting submissions.
o Social media sharing by ASB Showreels or the client.
Any other commercial or promotional use is strictly prohibited without prior agreement with ASB.
6. ASB Showreels will supply all necessary crew for the production. Only crew members who have passed the ASB recruitment process will be involved. All crew are DBS-checked and certified for client safety.
1. Full payment is required upfront to confirm a booking. Pre-production work will only begin upon payment clearance.
2. Optional extras (e.g., bespoke scripts, extended filming) will be itemized and agreed upon prior to finalizing payment.
3. ASB Showreels reserves the right to decline a booking at its discretion.
4. Refund requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis, but refunds are not guaranteed. ASB reserves the right to offer alternative resolutions, such as rebooking or partial refunds, depending on the situation.
5. Payments are non-transferable between clients.
1. Upon receiving payment, the ASB team will begin pre-production. If any optional extras are included, details will be confirmed, and additional time slots scheduled.
2. If no scripted optional extra has been opted for, ASB Showreel will send a script from the pool of scripts they have on file, accommodating the genre of script requested.
3. Personalised Scripts:
o ASB will contact you to finalize all necessary details before starting the script-writing process.
o From receiving payment bespoke scripts are typically delivered within 2–5 days (depending on the team’s workload).
o Scripts will be 2 pages in length. Clients are entitled to one revision if changes are needed.
4. Client-Provided Scripts:
o Scripts must not exceed 2 pages, formatted in standard screenplay layout. Exceptions may be approved at ASB’s discretion.
1. Each scene is allocated a maximum of 2 hours for filming. Clients requiring additional time may inquire about bespoke rates.
2. All filming will be completed on the scheduled day unless otherwise agreed. Additional fees may apply for rescheduling or extended time.
3. Chaperones and Parents:
o Parents or chaperones accompanying child actors must refrain from giving instructions during filming unless requested by ASB Showreels.
4. Changes to booking details after confirmation will incur a £15 administration fee.
1. Upon completion, clients are entitled to one complimentary revision. Feedback must be submitted via a single email within 5 days of receiving the final showreel.
2. Revisions requested after 5 days will incur charges:
o First revision: £65
o Additional revisions: £100 per revision
3. Integration of pre-existing footage:
o £75 fee if footage is already edited, colour-graded, and sound-mixed.
o £150 fee if editing, colour grading, or sound mixing is required.
4. ASB Showreels will retain raw camera and sound material for 1 month. After this period, all raw material will be disposed of. ASB holds no responsibility for loss of footage after this time.
5. ASB is not obligated to provide footage in specific formats or at specific resolutions beyond the standard showreel output.
1. Booking fees are non-refundable, except in cases where ASB Showreels cancels the booking.
2. ASB Showreels is not liable for delays, cancellations, or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:
o Illness or injury (e.g., actors, crew).
o Covid-19 related isolation.
o Severe weather, accidents, breakdowns, fires, floods, or other unforeseen circumstances.
ASB will endeavour to find alternative solutions, such as rescheduling or replacing key personnel. Compensation will not be offered.
3. Client Postponement:
o Clients may reschedule a booking within 1 month of the original date due to illness or severe weather (subject to availability).
o Rescheduling beyond the 1-month window will incur an additional fee.
4. ASB Rescheduling:
o ASB Showreels reserves the right to reschedule bookings at any time. While every effort will be made to notify clients in advance, ASB holds no responsibility if an alternative date cannot be agreed upon.
1. ASB Showreels’ liability is limited to the value of the booking fee paid. ASB Showreels is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. 2. By participating in and ASB Showreel, clients agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions in full. 3. ASB Showreels is not liable for actors not being able to perform on the day.
